Global AIDS Care
Abbott Fund supports HIV programs in the poorest countries of the world hardest hit by this disease. Programs focus in these areas of need: expanding access to testing, treatment and care, particularly for children; preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV; supporting communities helping orphans and vulnerable children; and strengthening health care systems. For more information about these programs, please visit

Access to Health Care
Our global health programs seek innovative solutions to improve and expand access to health care services for disadvantaged populations. Specific areas of focus include cardiovascular health, diabetes, nutrition, maternal and child health and neonatal care. Many Abbott Fund programs are engaged in closing gaps in ethnic and minority communities, promoting health and nutrition education for families, training health workers, and improving delivery of health services.
