  • ScienceEd

    Sparking Children’s Interest in Science

Our ScienceEd website inspires young people to learn about science.

  • Haiti Malnutrition Project

Addressing Severe Malnutrition and Empowering Communities

Abbott and the Abbott Fund are contributing more than $6.5 million – including a $3 million-plus plant to expand Partners In Health’s local production of Nourimanba. Nourimanba, like other ready-to-use therapeutic foods, is a high-calorie, high-protein, fortified peanut-based paste that is proven to dramatically improve the health of children suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

  • Family Science

Making Science Fun for the Whole Family

Abbott’s Family Science program brings kids, their parents and teachers together with some of our best scientists for fun, exciting evenings filled with experiments and hands-on lessons in the principles of scientific discovery and technological innovation.

  • Backpacks Full of Good Nutrition

    Feeding Chronically Hungry Schoolchildren

Many children rely on free or reduced-priced school lunches for basic nutrition, but who feeds them during weekends and school vacations? We provide major support for Feeding America’s BackPack Program, designed to feed hungry kids when other resources aren’t available.

  • Operation Discovery

    Bringing Middle Schoolers to Abbott

Abbott’s Operation Discovery program brings middle school students and teachers into our laboratories to experience our company’s passion for science and discovery firsthand. More than 2,000 students have participated to date.
